As the Blog Transitions Into a Magazine…

Happy Friday!  Yes.  The rumors are true.  Our humble little blog is turning into a monthly online magazine, most likely by the end of the summer.  The transition has always been a part of the plan, and will include premium areas that will only be available to subscribers.

What will the magazine look/feel like? Think Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone magazine decided to have a big baby.

What kind of content?  The usual, but on a more elevated level.  There will also be a heavy emphasis on video interviews.  For example, we are currently in talks with Dr. Joyce Maguire Paveo in regards to a monthly feature.   Watch Adoptee Films will be fully integrated as well.

Social media?  Yes.  Lots and lots of social media.  Social media guru and one heck of an amazing photographer Suzi Pratt has joined Team LGA.

Will there be ads?  Yes.  We’ll have ads with cute little foreign babies, Cabbage Patch Kids, Hush Puppies, and kittens.  Just kidding!  Yes. There will be ads.

Who will be running it?  Shelise Gieseke, Nathaniel Christopher, Suzi Pratt, Jared Rehberg, Kevin Vollmers, and most likely two other folks.

While the transition is happening, we ask that you please be patient with us.  The content being spewed forth from LGA won’t be at the level folks are accustomed to, but we promise that the wait will be totally worth it!  In the meantime, I’m dancing by myself.

Peace out — KV
