Please Support the KAAN 2013 Conference in Grand Rapids, MI

Check this out from the Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network (KAAN). Show some love! So that all of you know, if KAAN reaches the goal of $20,000, LGA founder Kevin Ost-Vollmers will: eat a quart of kimchi in 15 minutes; immediately strip down to shorts, run outside, and do snow angels; and immediately run back inside, put on his winter running gear, run back outside to crank out a 5K. The entire thing will be recorded for all to see. We know you want to see this happen.

Show KAAN some love, folks! Many of you know that the organization has been around for quite some time, and touched the lives of many.

“As a friend of the Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network (KAAN), you know that for the past fifteen years our volunteer driven staff and leaders have worked incredibly hard with a minimal budget to put on the best conferences we can. We will do the same for the KAAN 2013 conference in Grand Rapids, MI. However, in order to do so, we need your financial support, and we ask that you consider offering a financial contribution during this Holiday Season.

Each year our staff and advisory council members work with a very tight budget, much smaller than many realize. Most of the budget goes to planning and on the ground expenses during the conference. A significant portion of the budget is also allocated to cover travel expenses/conference fees for our presenters and adoptee mentors. This year our goal is to raise $20,000 for this portion of the budget so that we can show our appreciation to our presenters, whose insights you know are invaluable, and to our mentors, who give young adoptees and adoptive families a chance for a richer conference experience. Again, to reach this goal, we need you.

Please consider offering your financial support today. The process is very straightforward. Either click on the PayPal link at the KAAN website or send a check to: KAAN, P.O. Box 714, Camp Hill, PA 17001.

On behalf of the KAAN staff and advisory council, thank you for your consideration, ongoing support, and, most importantly, being a part of the vibrant KAAN community’s effort to impact the lives of many.

Sincerely,

Stacy Schroeder, Director/President

Michael Stanley, Treasurer”
