Too Much Awesome for Just One Photo….

Ah the visages of excellence.  Adoptees unite!

On June 28, I was privileged to meet the President, Founder, and CEO of the Mixed Roots Foundation, Holly Choon Hyang Bachman as well as legendary Adoptee Rights activist, Laura Schwartz and her husband, Joe.  Everyone in the photo has a connection to adoption.  Holly, Laura, and I are adoptees and Joe is the brother of an adoptee as well as has the privilege of being married to one.  The little dude in the picture is my youngest son which means the poor kid has more adoption connections than even remotely reasonable.

We talked about being adopted, Adoptee Rights, and about the Mixed Roots Foundation’s up-coming projects.  Great things are happening with the Mixed Roots Foundation’s partnership with the San Francisco Giants’ for Adoptee Night.  If you haven’t already, check them out and spread the word.

Holly let us know she’d be coming to the Adoptee Rights Demonstration in Chicago.  How awesome is that?  Want to go too?  Register for the protest here.  Register for the bus here.  Get your hotel room here.  Get more info about the demonstration here.  Yours truly will be there with bells on.
