Korean Adoptees Rock!/Go Eat At The Left Handed Cook, Owned by Korean Adoptee Kat Melgaard and her partner and chef Thomas Kim

The Left Handed Cook, which is located in the vibrant Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis, has been getting a ton of press.  On top of that, a lot of folks have been chattering away about it to me.  So, I took my daughter there for lunch.

Wow!  We weren’t disappointed and, like good Asians, we took pictures.  Let’s begin with the sign.  Seriously.  Can’t get any cooler than that, right?  That’s clever marketing.

Now the two dishes my daughter and I shared.  Mmm…  Nice!

Now the owners.  Korean adoptee Kat Melgaard on the left and Thomas Kim, aka, “The Left Handed Cook,” on the right.  Smart, creative, and good looking folks, and new darlings of the Twin Cities food scene.

If you live in Minnesota or will be passing through, go checkout The Left Handed Cook.  And if you’re a Korean adoptee, go support a fellow KAD because, dudes!, we’re so kicking some major ass right now!

KAD Pride!

HI Kevin, thank you so much for coming in and your daughter is the cutiest!!!!!! I’ve met so many more Korean adoptees since I have been back in the midwest than I ever did growing up. It probably didn’t help that I grew up on a farm in the middle of no where, but I know there are a bunch of you who can relate!!! Love your blog and if there is anything we can do to help support the cause let us know!! Kat & Thomas, The Left Handed Cook
