Telling two brown dude adoptees that they have “unearned arrogance” because they haven’t been in adoption as long as you and people like you? Check. Calling “offensive” and “somewhat childish” the very act of two brown dude adoptees expressing their opinions (backed up by professional expertise and personal experiences) in a direct and confrontational tone? Check. Insinuating that you and people like you are more “serious” and “dedicated” than the two brown dude adoptees who have spent much of their adult lives advocating for adoptees and adoption reform? Check. Minimizing the BAs, MA, and PhD degrees of two brown dude adoptees by labeling them “troubled tweeters” and “populist pseudo academics” (whatever that means)? Check. Having the arrogance to declare to everyone that you somehow know the intentions of a higher power through statements such as, “God has wonderfully blessed us and allowed us to be in the very forefront of international adoption”? (source) Check. Believing that somehow you’re in a place to lecture two brown dude adoptees even though your adoption agency has had problems in the past? Priceless.
P.S. It’s great talking with you again, dear reader 😉
